American Society for Training and Development (ASTD)
This is the website for the world's largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals. This site provides access to publications, links, and resources for training & development issues.
International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI)
Leading international association dedicated to improving productivity and performance in the workplace. ISPI represents more than 10,000 international and chapter members throughout the United States, Canada, and 40 other countries. ISPI's mission is to develop and recognize the proficiency of its members and advocate the use of Human Performance Technology.
International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)
ISTE provides leadership and service to improve teaching, learning, and school leadership by advancing the effective use of technology in PK–12 and teacher education.
San Diego State University Resources for the EDTEC student:
Atomic Learning
Atomic Learning provides web-based software training for more than 110 applications students and educators. This is a great resource and is free to use for SDSU EDTEC students. Definitely, this site is worth checking out for help on various software programs.
Blackboard
Many Classes in the EDTEC program use Blackboard as the LMS for the course. Easy to use for the student and the LMS provides the opportunity to be a one stop shop for all relevant information on the selected course.
Moodle
Similar to Blackboard, classes that do not use Blackboard generally use Moodle instead. Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages.

Resource page for EDTEC Department. Provides the student information related to the Educational Technology program.
SDSU Library
Library resource. Can access databases and interlibrary loan program. You almost never have to walk into a library again... well, almost.

Online encyclopedia resource with articles submitted by users on endless topics. Site’s information is a good place to start conducting research, but not 100% guaranteed reliable information, although owner of the site makes validations for the entries.
